Welcome to my 2006 summer blog!

Welcome to my 2006 summer blog!

If you are a new reader, welcome.
If you have been directed here by me, especially welcome.
If you have been an occasional summer visitor and have tried your best to keep up, thanks for trying!

I've grouped things for you, so you can read what sounds interesting. Not all 86 posts are represented in these groupings, but I think it'll give you a good idea.
What did you do this summer?

Some general things to keep in mind:
  • This blog is mostly fluffy.
  • There are typos and misspellings galore.
  • The writing was done for a blog; thus, it has not been tremendously edited. So, it's definitely not my best...a bit on the clunky side actually...but sometimes not bad.
  • This blog was written for a very wide audience of friends and acquaintances spanning different socio-economic circles, religious philosophies, cultures, and geographic locations. That said, I feel that I have been true to myself.
Thanks for visiting and reading! And to my 5 special consistent blog readers---you guys are the best! This is my last entry.

What did you do this summer?

I have to confess, I hate this question. I've never been big on small talk---I mean, I do see the necessity and importance of it, and sure I can do it, but I especially have difficulty repeating an answer more than twice. So, please forgive me if I've sent you over here to my blog. After this, if you are still curious, you can ask me different questions---I love substantial, tangential, superficial and/or fluffy questions---those are kind of fun!

What did you do this summer?
I went to Europe. Please see this blog.
What are you doing in Europe this summer?

What is Caux? What program did you participate in?
My friend Altaf has the best explanation of this. This is the link.

Friends

One of the most bizarre and cool things about my summer is that I got to see almost everyone from my past. Okay, I think I got to see almost everyone from almost every significant group from my past, minus Madison people, minus a couple major groups from the San Francisco Bay Area, minus...okay, now that I'm thinking about it, there are tons of people I didn't get to see this summer. But that said, I saw an amazing amount of people from my past. And I didn't really plan it...(I of course saw a lot of people from my present too...they are included here...)

From the Airport

I found it really easy to blog at the airport because not only was my laptop with me, but I had time to kill. Most of these are written in this weird state of sleep deprivation, which also makes me much amused by what's below. (I'm not saying they are particularly any good....)
