A boring entry
I feel like blogging, but I'm afraid I don't have very much to blog
about...but since I'm trying to cultivate getting myself to actually
blog...I thought I'd go with the feeling.
I had a really fun time tonight and really a quite wonderful day in
general. Nothing particular marvelous happened, but I just really
enjoyed the people I was with today, the conversations I had, the things
I read, the forum I listened to. I ate well today, too. I prayed with
Mary and Emmanuel in the morning, which was quite nice; caught up with
Sarah which was also quite nice; chatted a bit with a few people in the
library; read part of an interesting article on how the Reformed
tradition ie Jonathan Edwards downplayed the image of the church as
mother; bought a book by Julian of Norwich; listened to four panelists
talk about their experiences with community which was so fascinating, so
insightful; figured out who was enamored with Betsy; listened to a interesting
and long-winded monk; ate dinner at Guu on Robson with a friend. That
was really good. I've never been to that Guu before. The atmosphere
is not as nice as Guu with Garlic, closer to Denman, but
it's still very good. Get the grilled cod, I think that was my
favorite.
